ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Design Engineer based in a Council located in Sydney, you will be responsible for coordinating the design of Council's road infrastructure and assets, including roads, footpaths, kerb and gutter, traffic and stormwater drainage. You will also provide technical expertise on unusual or complex design engineering matters internally and externally.

ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Design Engineer based in a Council located in Sydney, you will be responsible for coordinating the design of Council's road infrastructure and assets, including roads, footpaths, kerb and gutter, traffic and stormwater drainage. You will also provide technical expertise on unusual or complex design engineering matters internally and externally.
DUTIES.
- Design Council's infrastructure and assets and assist with the design of traffic/parking facilities and buildings
- Prepare specifications, tender documents and obtain planning approvals
- Assist in the planning and delivery of civil works programs using specialised Asset Management Systems
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated skills in design and investigation
- Extensive proficiency in CAD applications (12D, AutoCAD and Drains)
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
