ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Western Sydney Local Government office seeking a diligent, experience Governance Officer to join their team. You'll become a pivotal part of the team, ensuring they continue to perform with high levels of efficiency and professionalism in their day-to-day operation. 

ABOUT THE ROLE.
12-month contract opportunity, reporting to the Governance Coordinator. You will be provided with extensive training, mentorship and support to further your experience within the Governance division. You'll be expected to work with a strong level of autonomy whilst providing support to the coordination, maintenance and communication of the governance framework.

DUTIES.
  • Attend meetings, record and distribute minutes
  • Liaise with meeting Chairperson, community members and representatives
  • Provide administrative support for operational practices of the Governance Division
  • Maintain corporate governance registers and databases
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. 
  • Previous experience in a Governance Officer position essential
  • Prior experience recording council meeting minutes 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and InfoCouncil 
  • High level of data management skills
