ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Join a reputable Commercial and Industrial New Build company with a reputation in delivering high-end projects valued up to $50M. This company’s project portfolio includes Childcare Centres, Retail Shopping Outlets, and Industrial Warehouses. Having a well-established relationship with several high-profile clients, this company has numerous exciting projects across their specialised sectors lined up across Sydney’s Inner West. As such, this company is seeking to employ a driven Leading Hand to assist the Site Managers with site supervision and driving the project to completion. 
  
ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Leading Hand/ Junior Foreman you will be responsible for assisting with site supervision and coordinating on-site activities to ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of tasks, from site supervision to trade management, safety management and site inductions. No two days will be the same, and you will play an invaluable role towards the project delivery. You will need to have flexibility for some Saturday work and early starts will  be required.
  
DUTIES.
  • Collaborate closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure project goals are met
  • Assisting with site supervision
  • Trade Management
  • Toolbox talks
  • Site inductions
  • WHS management - monitor site safety and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Open and close site as required
  • Light labouring work from time to time
  
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • Experience in Commercial construction is advantageous
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
