ABOUT THE COMPANY.    
This company is a highly respected and well-established name in the building industry, known for their reputation across NSW and ACT. They deliver projects across various sectors, specializing in high-end residential and commercial developments. With an exceptionally strong pipeline of work secured, they are seeking to employ an ambitious HSEQ Officer to assist with managing and implementing workplace Health and Safety plans in their Newcastle division. 
  
ABOUT THE ROLE.
As the HSEQ Officer, you will report to the Safety Manager and Project Director to advocate safe work practices. You will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. You will also develop policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness. 
  
DUTIES.
  • Advise on provisions to minimise safety risks
  • Direct accident investigation procedures
  • Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • Minimum Cert IV in OH&S
  • Proven experience as safety officer or similar is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills
  • Diligent with an analytical mind
