ABOUT THE COMPANY.

My client is a well-established civil construction contractor, known for their expertise in delivering large-scale infrastructure and subdivision projects across NSW. As they expand their portfolio, they are looking for a dedicated Leading Hand to help drive their projects to success.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site activities, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Your experience in pipe-laying and subdivision will be invaluable as you lead your team through the day-to-day challenges of civil construction.

DUTIES.
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead and mentor your crew, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Site Supervisor and Project Manager to ensure project goals are met.
  • Monitor site safety and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the coordination of materials, equipment, and resources to maximise efficiency.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • Extensive experience in civil construction, with a strong focus on subdivisions.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
