ABOUT THE POSITION

Immediate start, initial 24 month contract with potential for extension. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the on-time delivery of the project, including managing Consultants/Contractors in delivering the desalination water treatment plant upgrade. Gain more exposure as a representative of both Council’s Project Control Group and Project Management Group.
  
DUTIES
  • Undertake site selection for sea water intake structure and transfer infrastructure to develop a scheme concept design and obtain planning approvals
  • Manage time, cost, and quality according to Council's policies, guidelines, and legislation
  • Develop project briefs, specifications and tender documents
  • Review and manage feedback on procurement and scope in relation to construction time and cost impacts
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or similar
  • Must have prior exposure to Water Treatment Plants/ Desalination Projects
  • Project Management/ Project Engineering experience in Government projects preferred
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written with proficiency in Microsoft Suite
