Due to their expanding workload, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor eager to gain experience across these industries and grow together with them.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

Our client is currently seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor with 2-5 years of experience to join their Sydney Team. You will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of various construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value at every stage. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial progress of projects from inception through completion. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, healthcare, and education, collaborating closely with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes while maintaining strong financial control.


DUTIES.
  • Carry out cost evaluations and feasibility assessments
  • Complete thorough trade breakdowns and elemental quantity take-offs
  • Develop and manage project cash flow forecasts
  • Offer expert guidance on economical construction techniques and material selection
  • Measure variations, assess risks, and manage cost impacts related to project changes
  • Perform comprehensive cost assessments, estimates, budgeting, and feasibility evaluations for construction initiatives
  • Conduct site inspections and provide valuations for completed on-site work
  • Maintain strong client relationships and assist in defining their project needs
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in project management or construction management majoring in Quantity Surveyor
  • Minimum 2 years of QS experience (Preferably Professional QS)
  • AIQS, RICS, CIOB membership is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly self-driven with strong integrity, honesty, and ethical standards
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting
