My client is a renowned civil contractor with a solid track record and has experienced impressive growth over the past year. As a growing business in the infrastructure sector, they manage projects valued between $10m and $25m. Due to an increased project load, they are currently seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to assist in the delivery of one of their major projects in Sydney.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
They are looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to ensure all safety protocols are adhered to on-site. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role will also involve contributing to the development and implementation of risk management programs.
DUTIES.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Supporting the management of safety activities across the project
- Assisting in the creation and implementation of safety management plans
- Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Offering feedback and recommendations to management for safety improvements
- Preparing and reviewing risk assessment reports
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- A good understanding and experience with Transport NSW or Sydney Water projects
