ABOUT THE POSITION.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and managing tenders for Sydney Water projects, with values up to $10M. Your role will involve the preparation of detailed first principle estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in all submissions. This permanent position offers an outstanding opportunity for career progression within a growing company.
DUTIES.
- First principle estimating for Sydney Water projects (including pipelines, drainage, and water treatment)
- Preparation of detailed and accurate quotes
- Managing tender submissions from start to finish
- Attending tender meetings and negotiations with clients and stakeholders
- Assisting in the strategic growth of the estimating division
- Supporting project managers and senior management with cost planning and risk management
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Proven experience in first principle estimating for Sydney Water or similar water infrastructure projects
- Strong background in estimating for water mains, drainage, and/or water treatment projects
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
