ABOUT THE COMPANY.
A Northern Sydney Local Council is looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to assist with the day to day responsibilities of the payroll team requiring high level problem solving skills and exceptional communication skills. You will be part of a team of 4 running the fortnightly payroll for Council.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Immediate start. An initial 3-month opportunity with strong likelihood of extension and transitioning into a more stable position. Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will be assisting in enhancing the payroll systems and processes, including providing training for members of your team.
DUTIES.
- Process payroll functions (end-to-end)
- Process fortnightly payroll for permanent, temporary and casual staff
- Calculations, taxation and reconciliations as required
- Responding to complicated payroll enquiries from customers
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Minimum 4-5 years' experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Proficiency with SAP & EC Payroll
- Local Council experience preferred
- High level of attention to detail & problem solving skills
REMUNERATION.
- $60 - $65 p/h + Superannuation
