Based in Northern Sydney, work for your Local Council as a WHS Officer. An amazing opportunity to take your first step into the Public Sector within an established team of WHS professionals. Reporting to the Risk Advisory Team Leader, your team consists of a WHS Officer, Insurance Officer and a Support Officer.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Immediate start for an initial 6 month contract with the opportunity to apply for a permanent position. Your main matter of attention is to provide quality and service across the areas of risk management, insurance and work health and safety.
DUTIES.
- All general WHS duties
- Reviewal of safety programs/initiatives
- Monthly reporting to the WHS Committee
- Register/report incidents and take corrective actions
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Previous experience in WHS with strong incident investigation skills
- Experience working in Local Council preferred
- A high level of task prioritisation and time management skills
- High level of maturity and communication skills
